Irbid’s Industrial Exports Surge by 10.5% in September

Irbid:Exports from the Irbid Chamber of Industry (ICI) reached USD 99.8 million last September, marking a 10.5% increase from USD 90.3 million during the same period the previous year, as revealed by ICI data.

According to Jordan News Agency, the ICI issued 1,391 certificates of origin in September, up 4.9% from 1,326 certificates issued in the same month of 2025. Garments and leather products were the leading export sectors with USD 87.2 million, followed by food and agriculture at USD 5.18 million, medical and pharmaceutical supplies at USD 3.16 million, and chemicals and cosmetics at USD 2.93 million. Other exports included engineering, plastics, construction, and packaging materials.

The United States was the primary destination for these exports, accounting for USD 72.9 million. Germany followed with USD 3.86 million, Saudi Arabia with USD 2.11 million, and the Netherlands with USD 2 million. North America emerged as the largest regional market with over USD 75 million in exports, followed by Asia with USD 13.8 million and Europe with USD 8.1 million.

Al-Hasan Industrial Estate (HIE) was responsible for the majority of the export value, generating USD 95.3 million. Cyber City contributed USD 4.1 million, while the chamber's main office accounted for USD 430,000.

ICI Director Nidal Sadr commented to "Petra" that the growth in exports highlights the sector's resilience and its capability to expand globally despite international trade challenges. He emphasized that the ICI is collaborating with government entities and partner institutions to explore new markets, enhance local manufacturing competitiveness, and create job opportunities.
