BEIRUT: A number of people were killed on Tuesday in Israeli air strikes across Southern Lebanon, according to a Lebanese source. A raid on the town of Maaroub left 2 people dead, and ambulance crews pulled an unknown number of bodies after Israeli aircraft targeted the town of Baflieh, the source in Beirut said. According to Jordan News Agency, the International and Lebanese Red Cross, in cooperation with UN forces (UNIFIL), were trying to recover the bodies of a number of people who were killed in an Israeli raid on their home a week ago. It was reported that the air raids targeted 18 towns, starting this morning until midday today, and Israeli artillery also shelled 7 towns. Since the aggression on Lebanon began, more than 37 towns and more than 40,000 housing units were destroyed in the area from the border town of Naqoura to the outskirts of the town of Khiyam, the source said.
