Jerusalem: Israeli extremists and settlers entered the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound in occupied Jerusalem on Monday, under the protection of Israeli police, leading to heightened tensions in the region. In a separate series of incidents across the West Bank, Israeli forces arrested 16 Palestinians and demolished commercial facilities in multiple towns.

According to Jordan News Agency, dozens of settlers accessed the Al-Aqsa Mosque/ Haram Al Sharif complex through the Bab Al Maghareba Gate, conducting prayers on the plaza. These actions are seen as provocations against guards and Muslim worshippers, occurring under the supervision of police. The Jerusalem Islamic Waqf Department, which oversees the site, reported these activities as part of an almost daily pattern.

Meanwhile, in the occupied West Bank, Israeli forces carried out raids in various locations, including Salfit, Jenin, Qalqilya, Hebron, Tulkarm, and Ramallah. The Palestinian Prisoners' Club stated that troops in military jeeps entered these areas to arrest individuals deemed "wanted." In addition to the arrests, commercial facilities were demolished, and Jewish settlers reportedly continued to engage in disruptive activities in several villages.
