Amman: Southern Military Zone troops on Monday successfully intercepted an attempt to smuggle narcotics using a drone on its western front. The operation, conducted in coordination with security agencies and the Anti-Narcotics Department, resulted in the drone being shot down within Jordanian territory.
According to Jordan News Agency, the military applied rules of engagement after the drone was detected. The troops' swift response prevented the illegal substances from entering the country. Following the interception, the seized materials were handed over to the competent authorities for further investigation and processing.
