Khiam: Israeli army forces have advanced into the border town of Khiam in southern Lebanon, bolstered by airstrikes targeting the Maroun al-Ras area. In response, the Lebanese army has deployed extensively in the city of Tyre and its surrounding regions. According to Jordan News Agency, Israeli forces, accompanied by tanks, entered the areas of Ain Arab, Wata al-Khiam, and al-Wazzani, which lie on the southern and eastern outskirts of Khiam. They have established positions across several neighborhoods in the town. The offensive included multiple airstrikes by Israeli drones on the towns of Beit Lif, Arnoun, and Jabal al-Rayhan, while Israeli tanks were observed advancing near Blida and Mahbib towns. In reaction to these developments, the Lebanese army has initiated a comprehensive deployment throughout the neighborhoods and streets of Tyre and its adjacent areas to ensure security. Additionally, the Lebanese Army Command has issued a call for volunteers to reinforce its ranks, encouraging individuals intere sted in joining the army to submit applications. Lebanese Prime Minister Najib Mikati, in a separate statement, highlighted ongoing diplomatic efforts aimed at halting Israeli breaches of the ceasefire agreement and ensuring the withdrawal of Israeli forces from the Lebanese border towns, underscoring the tense situation in the region.
