Israeli Forces Conduct Arrest Raids and Settler Attacks in Occupied West Bank

Jerusalem: Israeli occupation forces carried out a series of raids and arrests across several areas of the occupied West Bank on Sunday. The Palestinian Prisoners Club stated that Israeli forces stormed multiple locations amid heavy gunfire, arresting 25 Palestinians alleged by Israeli authorities to be wanted.

According to Jordan News Agency, in occupied Jerusalem, Israeli settlers stormed the courtyards of the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound through the Mughrabi Gate, under heavy protection from Israeli police. The Islamic Waqf Department in occupied Jerusalem reported that dozens of settlers entered the compound, toured its courtyards, and performed Talmudic rituals in the eastern section of the mosque.

Israeli occupation forces imposed strict restrictions on the entry of worshippers and Jerusalemites to the mosque, confiscating identity cards at its outer gates. Settlers attacked the Khirbet al-Sidra community near the town of Mikhmas, northeast of occupied Jerusalem, assaulting residents, including foreign solidarity activists.

The Jerusalem Governorate said in a statement that dozens of settlers carried out a large-scale attack on Khirbet al-Sidra, resulting in two injuries. The injured were transferred to hospital for treatment. According to the Governorate, the attacks also led to the burning of two vehicles and the destruction of at least eight homes.
