The team charged for reviewing clarification requests, documented by the Audit Bureau, continued its monthly meetings to rectify violations monitored in Jordan’s ministries and governmental institutions.
Chairing the team’s meeting on Thursday, Minister of State for Prime Minister Affairs, Dr. Ibrahim Jazi, said 15 clarification requests were recorded last July, adding that all necessary measures were taken to rectify the documented violations.
Jazi said a clarification request was referred to Jordan Integrity and Anti-Corruption Commission (JIACC) to examine its content, adding that the violation is related to payment of bonuses and allowances to employees, managers, faculty members and members of trustee board at a public university.
The rest of the clarification requests, he said, included repeat violations, primarily tendering, executing and receiving bids in violation of law, in addition to delays in completing some tenders though legal periods have expired.
