Jewish Settlers Establish New Outpost Near Hebron

Hebron: Jewish settlers have established a new outpost on Palestinian-owned land near the town of al-Sheyukh, northeast of Hebron, in the south of the occupied West Bank. On Wednesday, settlers brought seven mobile homes and livestock to the site and set up tents, posing a threat to the confiscation of dozens of dunums of privately-owned Palestinian land, according to a statement from the local council of al-Sheyukh.

According to Jordan News Agency, the town of al-Sheyukh has been the target of repeated settler attacks. Incidents have included vandalism of property, destruction of fields, theft or killing of livestock, and attacks on homes. The Colonization and Wall Resistance Commission reported that settlers attempted to establish 15 settler outposts across the West Bank in May, with the majority being agricultural in nature.
