Amman: Deputizing for His Majesty King Abdullah II, the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Major General Yousef Huneiti Wednesday led at the Royal Jordanian National Defense College the graduation ceremony of the 22nd national defense class and the 8th Master's Program in anti-terrorism strategies studies.
According to Jordan News Agency, the college commander addressed the ceremony, highlighting that the various programs and curricula of the college are based on the vision and directives of His Majesty, the Supreme Commander. These are designed to prepare qualified leaders who are capable of understanding the comprehensive national security environment and analyzing political, economic, social, and security challenges.
The college's efforts are primarily focused on building a strategic ideology, promoting national security concepts, and consolidating the principles of moderation and tolerance. This culture is deemed essential to confront the culture of violence, extremist ideology, and the dangers of terrorism. Achieving this mission requires coordination and integration among various state institutions, through the involvement of elite officers from the armed forces and security agencies in training programs, as well as representatives of national institutions and Arab and friendly countries, supported by a select group of lecturers and experts.
Towards the end of the ceremony, the army chief handed diplomas and prizes to graduates of the course and program, which grant a Master's degree in management and strategic studies and counter-terrorism and extremism strategies. Participants in the programs included officers from the Jordan Armed Forces- Arab Army and security services, employees of various ministries and institutions, and officers from countries such as Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Oman, Qatar, Kuwait, Yemen, Morocco, Egypt, and the United States.
Huneiti also inaugurated the National Defense College Officers Club, further underscoring the Armed Forces' commitment to providing quality services to its workers. The graduation ceremony was attended by prominent figures such as the President of Mutah University, the Directors of the General Intelligence Department and Public Security, senior military and security officers, and ambassadors and military attach©s from Arab and friendly countries.
