Amman: The first session of the 2025 Secondary Education Certificate Examination, commonly known as Tawjihi, is scheduled to commence on Thursday, with a total of 209,871 students participating. This includes 147,461 regular participants and 62,410 private test-takers.
According to Jordan News Agency, 163,629 students are set to sit for the exam in its initial session, focusing on the subject of Islamic Education. The exam will utilize a unified paper sheet applicable to all academic and vocational education streams. The ministry has organized the exam across 826 schools within the Kingdom's education directorates, and 38 correction centers have been established nationwide to manage the correction process.
In a notable effort to include diverse groups, the ministry announced that 162 inmates will be taking the exam at Jordan's correctional, rehabilitation, and juvenile centers across 15 sites. Additionally, provisions have been made for 72 participants at the King Hussein Cancer Center, and 658 students with disabilities will also be part of the examination process.
The first exam session is scheduled to begin at 10:00 a.m., followed by the second session at 1:00 p.m. Dr. Nawaf Ajarmah, Secretary-General of the Ministry of Education for Educational Affairs, highlighted that the ministry's staff have been working to establish a conducive exam environment. Special preparations have been made to accommodate students with disabilities, ensuring easy access to exam halls.
Dr. Ajarmah also mentioned that the ministry has established operations rooms to handle feedback and inquiries from students, teachers, parents, and all staff involved in administering the exam.
