Amman: The Jordan Food and Drug Administration (JFDA) on Thursday issued a warning to consumers about the risks of purchasing food, olive oil, or medical supplies from unlicensed delivery providers. The agency highlighted the potential health risks and compromised product quality associated with these unauthorized suppliers.

According to Jordan News Agency, the JFDA emphasized that unlicensed suppliers cannot guarantee adherence to essential health and safety standards, including proper storage and transportation. This lack of compliance poses significant risks to consumers' health and the integrity of the products being delivered.

In its statement, the JFDA urged authorities to take action against the promotion and distribution of food, olive oil, and medical supplies from unlicensed sources. The agency also warned transport companies that they would be held accountable under the law if found to be involved with unlicensed deliveries.

Regarding pharmaceuticals, the JFDA reiterated that direct delivery to consumers is strictly prohibited. Medicines may only be transported through licensed pharmacies, hospitals, or approved transport providers affiliated with registered warehouses and drug companies. This ensures that all technical and storage regulations are followed, safeguarding consumer safety and product efficacy.
