AMMAN: The joint military exercise "Strong Constants 4" concluded successfully with the participation of the Jordanian and Emirati Armed Forces, focusing on enhancing their joint operational capabilities. The exercise, observed by Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Maj. Gen. Yousef Hunaiti, and the Commander of the UAE Presidential Guard, Maj. Gen. Ali Saif Al-Kaabi, took place at a designated training field and simulated various regional and international challenges.
According to Jordan News Agency, the exercise featured a series of complex military operations, including tactical landing operations performed by a C-130 aircraft and urban assault and clearance missions executed by Jordan's Rapid Intervention Brigade and the UAE's Knights Brigade. These ground operations were supported by advanced engineering teams and incorporated modern drone technology. The exercises also included the use of robots and police dogs, emphasizing the integration of new military concepts.
The event showcased live-fire drills conducted by the Royal Jordanian Air Force and the UAE Air Force, including aerial bombardments by F-16 fighter jets, as well as Little Bird and Cobra helicopters. Black Hawk helicopters were used for target assaults, while artillery, mortar, and sniper fire were demonstrated in live scenarios. An aerial medical evacuation operation was also executed, highlighting the comprehensive nature of the training.
The joint exercise, which has been held annually since 2019, aims to strengthen military skills and readiness levels to address increasing regional security challenges. It underscores the strategic military cooperation and strong bilateral ties between Jordan and the United Arab Emirates, based on longstanding historical and fraternal relationships.
At the conclusion of the exercise, both Maj. Gen. Hunaiti and Maj. Gen. Al-Kaabi commended the participants for their high levels of professionalism, strong morale, and exceptional performance. The event was attended by senior officers from both the Jordanian and UAE armed forces, reflecting the importance placed on coordinated and effective collaboration in maintaining regional security.
