Jordan and Algeria Aim to Enhance Educational Cooperation

Amman:Jordan and Algeria are seeking to enhance their academic and educational collaboration through expanded student and research exchanges, as well as the activation of existing agreements between the two nations.

According to Jordan News Agency, these initiatives were discussed in a meeting on Thursday between Jordan's Minister of Education and Human Resources Development, Azmi Mahafzah, and the Algerian Ambassador to Jordan, Mohammad Zergot.

Mahafzah emphasized the longstanding relationship between Jordan and Algeria, noting the academic and student exchange levels between their universities. He also highlighted the contribution of academic expertise to the enrichment of the education sector.

Ambassador Zergot expressed Algeria's interest in activating existing memoranda of understanding, agreements, and joint committees. He also discussed expanding cooperation to include scientific research and reciprocal academic visits, commending the progress in Jordan's education and higher education sectors.

The discussions included student exchange programs and other opportunities to strengthen cooperation between educational and academic institutions in both countries.
