Beijing:Amman: The Official Gazette has published a memorandum of understanding (MoU) between the Jordan Institute of Diplomacy and China Foreign Affairs University. The agreement, approved during the Cabinet's session on August 16, aims to foster stronger relations and promote academic exchange and cooperation.
According to Jordan News Agency, the MoU outlines several initiatives, including reciprocal visits by leaders and researchers from both institutions. These visits are intended to facilitate the implementation of the agreement.
The memorandum further specifies the exchange of visiting researchers and lecturers for short-term lectures, based on the needs of each institution. Additionally, the MoU includes provisions for student exchange programs.
Joint academic seminars on mutually agreed topics will be organized, contingent on available funding. The agreement also emphasizes the exchange of expertise in teaching, research, and curriculum development, along with joint academic research and the publication of findings.
The signing ceremony, held in Beijing on August 24, was witnessed by King Abdullah II of Jordan and Chinese President Xi Jinping, highlighting the significance of this educational collaboration.
