Amman:Minister of Public Works and Housing Maher Abul Samen held a meeting with representatives from the Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development (KFAED) to discuss the fourth phase of Jordan's infrastructure funding program.
According to Jordan News Agency, the discussions aimed at establishing criteria for selecting high-priority projects for this phase, focusing on engineering standards and developmental impact to ensure effective fund allocation.
The infrastructure program is part of a memorandum signed in May 2019, which aligns with Kuwait's commitments made during the Mecca Summit to support Jordan.
Abul Samen expressed appreciation for KFAED's ongoing support of Jordan's development and infrastructure initiatives. He emphasized the strong historical ties between Jordan and Kuwait, under the leadership of His Majesty King Abdullah II and Kuwait's Emir Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah.
Waseem Adwan, the Ministry's Secretary General for Technical Affairs, highlighted the completion of key projects in 2025 as well as achievements under the first three phases of the program.
Both parties agreed to maintain close coordination to enhance the effectiveness of Kuwaiti funding on Jordan's infrastructure development.
