Amman:The Jordan Forum for Dialogue and Policies recently convened to discuss the principal themes of King Abdullah II's speech at the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly. The discourse primarily centered on the Palestinian cause, regional developments, Jordan's national security, and the country's approach to current global challenges.
According to Jordan News Agency, the forum participants highlighted the reaffirmation of Jordan's established positions concerning the Palestinian issue, which include adherence to international law and the rejection of double standards. The discussions also underscored the importance Jordan places on safeguarding its security, borders, water resources, and national interests.
Forum Chairman Hamid Nayef Al-Batayneh emphasized that the King's address clearly outlined Jordan's stance on the Palestinian issue and national security. Former Minister of Government Communication Faisal Al-Shobail noted the clarity of Jordan's position on the Palestinian cause and its geographical boundaries, referencing the speech's impact in Arab and international contexts.

Secretary-General of the Conservatives Party Talal Sharafat discussed the King's address on issues such as forced displacement and developments in the West Bank and Gaza, advocating for strengthening Jordan's internal cohesion through justice and the rule of law.
MP Huda Naffa highlighted the political and economic issues raised in the speech and the King's emphasis on the Hashemite custodianship of Jerusalem's holy sites.
