Amman: Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign and Expatriates Affairs Ayman Safadi and Kuwaiti Foreign Minister Abdullah Ali Yahya signed six cooperation agreements, marking the conclusion of the fifth session of the Jordanian-Kuwaiti Joint Higher Committee held in Amman.
According to Jordan News Agency, these agreements cover sectors including tourism, culture, higher education, scientific research, labor mobility, and diplomatic collaboration. Notably, an executive program for tourism cooperation was signed, set to span from 2025 to 2027. Additionally, a cultural and artistic cooperation program will extend from 2025 to 2028. In higher education and scientific research, an executive program was established to promote collaboration between Jordan's Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and its Kuwaiti counterpart from 2025 to 2030.
The agreements also include a program regulating labor movement between the two countries and an agreement exempting diplomatic passport holders from entry visa requirements. A memorandum of understanding was signed between Jordan's Diplomatic Institute and the Saud Al-Nasser Al-Sabah Kuwaiti Diplomatic Institute, fostering further diplomatic collaboration.
