Geneva: Minister of Labor Dr. Khaled Bakkar and his Lebanese counterpart, Mohammad Haidar, engaged in discussions on Tuesday about the potential signing of a joint memorandum of understanding (MoU) related to labor. This meeting took place on the sidelines of the 113th session of the International Labour Conference, which is currently being held in Geneva.
According to Jordan News Agency, a ministry statement released on Tuesday highlighted the affirmation by both ministers of the "deep-rooted, brotherly" bilateral relations between Jordan and Lebanon. They emphasized the importance of strengthening these ties, particularly in labor affairs.
Dr. Bakkar expressed that the Jordanian government is committed to assisting the Lebanese side with any necessary services, in line with the Royal directives. Meanwhile, Minister Haidar commended the inspection system implemented by the Jordanian Ministry of Labor, as well as the country's vocational training system, highlighting them as exemplary models.
