Jordan and Oman Explore Cooperation in Geographic Surveying

Amman: The Director General of the Royal Jordanian Geographic Center (RJGC), Brig. Gen. Muammar Kamel Haddadin, received Brig. Gen. Nasser Al-Harthi, Chairman of the National Survey and Geospatial Information Authority (NSGIA), along with his delegation to discuss potential cooperation in geographic surveying.

According to Jordan News Agency, Haddadin outlined the RJGC's primary responsibilities and achievements in the fields of surveying and remote sensing during the meeting. He also underscored the significance of the center's ongoing projects, which aim to support sustainable development initiatives. Haddadin emphasized the value of exchanging expertise and integrating knowledge from both Jordan and Oman to fortify the relationship between the geographic institutions of the two countries.

Al-Harthi, in response, advocated for the enhancement of joint cooperation, commending the RJGC's scientific stature, international standing, and its prominent role in surveying and map production. The Omani delegation was given a tour of the center's technical, training, and educational departments, where they were briefed on the advancements made in spatial data and the modern technologies employed in geospatial operations.
