Jordan and UK Collaborate on Water Projects and National Carrier Initiative

Amman: Minister of Water and Irrigation Raed Abu Saud on Wednesday engaged in discussions with British Ambassador Philip Hall concerning efforts to tackle challenges in the water sector and ensure water supply through sustainable initiatives, including the National Water Carrier.

According to Jordan News Agency, Abu Saud expressed the government's gratitude for the support provided by donor countries, with a particular emphasis on the United Kingdom's assistance in addressing Jordan's water challenges. The British ambassador highlighted his country's interest in deepening cooperation and offering modern solutions for water management.

The ambassador also noted that British companies and the private sector are eager to participate in the execution of water projects. He reiterated the UK's commitment to supporting Jordan's plans for sustainable water projects, with the National Water Carrier being a primary focus, and praised the sector's efforts and achievements in managing the country's water issues.
