Amman: The King Faisal II/16 Brigade, one of the units of the King Hussein Bin Ali Brigade, Monday carried out a joint tactical exercise with the British military.

The drill “Olive Grove” kicked off in one of the designated training fields in the presence of the Brigade’s Commander, Brig. Gen. Omar. Shqeirat and British military attache, Col. Will Davis.

The drill featured live firing from medium and light weapons, storming operations using armored vehicles and sniper shooting, where participants demonstrated combat efficiency, high professionalism and accuracy in hitting targets.

Olive Grove was to test the ability to conduct Military Operations in Built-up Areas (MOBA) and internal security operations, and offers training in reconnaissance operations and handling various ground targets.

The exercise is part of training programs implemented by the Jordan Armed Forces- Arab Army with the British military to raise the level of readiness and combat efficiency.
