Jordan Carries Out Medical Evacuation of 16 Child Patients from Gaza

Amman: The Jordan Armed Forces-Arab Army executed a new medical evacuation operation on Wednesday, transporting 16 child patients from Gaza, including 10 cancer patients, along with 48 family members. This operation is part of the Jordan Medical Corridor initiative.

According to Jordan News Agency, twelve of the children were transported by land, while four were evacuated by air. Among the patients, one child is scheduled for further evacuation to Saudi Arabia for treatment, and another will receive medical care in the United Arab Emirates. This evacuation effort was carried out in collaboration with Jordan's Ministry of Health and the World Health Organisation (WHO).

Since the launch of the medical corridor initiative, a total of 57 children and 113 family members have been evacuated by land and air to Jordan. The Jordan Medical Corridor initiative, which began in March this year following Royal directives, aims to provide medical treatment for children from Gaza in Jordanian hospitals.
