Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Ayman Safadi on Thursday chaired a meeting, in Cairo, of the Arab Ministerial Committee concerned with taking steps to stop the illegal Israeli measures in occupied Jerusalem.
During the meeting prior to the 156th regular session of the Arab League, Safadi reviewed Jordan’s efforts aiming at mobilizing international support to halt the illegal Israeli measures that targeting the Islamic and Christian holy sites’ identity in Jerusalem.
The panel, chaired by Jordan, issued a press statement confirming that it will continue to make intensive diplomatic efforts to support the steadfastness of the Palestinian people in Jerusalem and the occupied Palestinian territories, and to mobilize the necessary international support to confront the illegal Israeli measures in occupied Jerusalem.
The General Secretariat of the Arab League issued a report related to the Israeli violations in the holy city of Jerusalem including all forms of support by the Kingdom for the people of Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood in Jerusalem in a way that preserves their rights and keeps them in their homes.
