Jordan Dispatches Specialized Teams to Venezuela for Earthquake Relief

Jordan: Jordan dispatched search, rescue, and medical teams to Venezuela on Friday to help support international relief efforts following the twin earthquakes that struck Venezuela. The Jordan International Search and Rescue Team, which is part of the Civil Defence, comprises 100 specialist personnel qualified in search and rescue operations and field support in affected areas. They are equipped with the latest equipment and technologies required to deal with natural disasters in accordance with the highest international standards, aiming to contribute to search and rescue operations and field support in the affected regions.

According to Jordan News Agency, the Jordanian relief team also includes several specialist medical staff from the Royal Medical Services, who will be providing treatment and medical care to those injured and affected by the earthquake. This contribution is made upon Royal directives to support countries and peoples affected by disasters and humanitarian crises, mitigating their impact, and supporting urgent international response efforts. Jordan is also due to send a field hospital in the coming days to help treat those injured and affected by the earthquake, as well as various forms of aid and medical and therapeutic supplies.
