The Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Saturday expressed condolences to the government and the people of the United States over the victims of the hurricane in the states of Illinois, Missouri, Kentucky, Tennessee, Mississippi, and Arkansas, according to a Foreign Ministry statement.

The hurricane left dozens of fatalities and injuries, and heavy material damage.

The ministry spokesperson Haitham Abu Al Foul voiced the Kingdom’s solidarity with the government and the people of the US and wished the injured a speedy recovery.

The ministry called on Jordanians residing in the states affected by the hurricane to exercise caution, comply with public safety instructions issued by the US authorities and contact the operations center number, 0096279549777, at the ministry’s headquarters in case of an emergency or the emergency number of the Kingdom’s embassy in Washington: 2022949522.
