Amman: Senator Ahmed Khudari, a Jordan and Amman Chambers of Industry board member, highlighted the quality and competitiveness of Jordanian industry with a potential to lead Arab exports to China. His comments followed a recent visit by a Jordanian industrial team to China, emphasizing the robust ties between the two countries as China is a key trading partner of the Kingdom. According to Jordan News Agency, during the visit, the delegation engaged with Chinese industry leaders who expressed an interest to increase Jordanian exports to China, offering a strategic opportunity for Jordan to expand its industrial footprint in one of the world's largest markets. Khudari stressed the need to enhance and diversify Jordanian exports to China, attract investments, and capitalize on the strong trade relationship between the two countries. The delegation visited factories in Shanghai Province, where they explored such advanced industries as electrical appliances, AI, medical supplies, and animal collagen. They also attended the China International Import Expo, assessing opportunities for Jordanian manufacturers to participate in future expos, potentially opening doors to the Malaysian and Indonesian markets. In a bid to strengthen commercial links, the delegation met with Jordanian and Arab business owners in China, encouraging increased imports from Jordan. They also came together with scientists from Fudan University, where a Jordanian neuroscientist gave a presentation on recent advancements in brain science. The visit, organized by Iris United, a Chinese firm owned by Jordanian investors, underscores Jordan's ambition to boost exports and attract foreign investments by leveraging China's vast market and advanced industrial expertise.
