Baghdad, President of the The Accreditation and Quality Assurance Commission for Higher Education Institutions (AQACHEI), Dhafer Sarayrah, on Sunday discussed met in Baghdad with Iraq’s Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Naeem Aboudi.
The meeting covered cooperation between universities in the two countries.
In the meeting, Sarayrah and Aboudi also discussed opportunities of cooperation between Jordanian and Iraqi educational institutions, according to academic streams that are based on quality standards and university accreditation, the Iraqi Ministry of Higher Education said in a statement.
Sarayreh expressed Jordan’s desire to develop cultural exchange between the two countries, and coordinate on mutual fellowships and scholarships, in a way that enhances cooperation between the universities of the two countries.
For his part, Aboudi said that Iraqi universities have scientific and human capabilities that take into account developments and changes in the various fields of education, especially with regard to medical education.
