Jordan made a big leap on the Gallup Law and Order Index, going from the 34th to 16th place globally and from the 5th to 2nd place, beating out Sweden, Germany and the United States.

According to the Gallup International Association (GIA), the Law and Order 2021 report, which included 115 countries, relied in its scientific research on a number of sub-indicators, top of which are gauging people’s sense of personal security and their personal experiences with crime and law enforcement.

Norway topped the list on the index, scoring 94 points out of 100, followed by the United Arab Emirates, which came in first regionally, at 93 points, and China. Jordan scored 89 points, while Venezuela was at the bottom of the list at 53 points.
