Qurayyat: The inaugural Jordanian Universities Fair 2025 commenced on Sunday at the Best Western Plus Hotel in Qurayyat, northern Saudi Arabia, marking a significant step in promoting education tourism. The two-day event, which involves collaboration between the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, the Jordan Tourism Board (JTB), and Expert for Education, aims to attract international students to Jordanian higher education institutions.

According to Jordan News Agency, the fair was inaugurated under the sponsorship of Qurayyat Chamber of Commerce Secretary-General Fahd bin Ahmed Al-Qabsani. It includes participation from the Ministry of Higher Education, the JTB, and various public and private Jordanian universities. This initiative is part of a broader executive plan set for 2023-2027, which has been approved by the Cabinet to enhance international student enrollment in Jordan.

The Ministry of Higher Education noted that its strategic alliance with the JTB has been instrumental in advancing national efforts to bolster education tourism. Such international fairs provide a crucial platform for Jordan to showcase its diverse academic programs and specialties. The event attracted a substantial number of students and their families eager to learn about study opportunities in Jordan.

Furthermore, the ministry, along with the JTB and Jordanian universities, plans to participate in similar educational fairs throughout various countries over the course of 2025, further expanding their reach and attracting more international students.
