Amman: The National Center for Curriculum Development has initiated a training program aimed at supervisors from various education directorates across the Kingdom. This program seeks to introduce business mathematics, a new subject that will be included in the secondary education curriculum starting in the 2025-2026 academic year.

According to Jordan News Agency, the training program focuses on teaching methods and classroom strategies to facilitate effective knowledge transfer to teachers. The curriculum emphasizes the integration of theoretical concepts with practical, real-life applications, with the goal of enhancing students' understanding and improving their analytical and data-driven decision-making skills.

Omar Abu Ghlyon, head of the mathematics curriculum team at the center, stated that the new subject will provide business students with essential mathematical tools, including matrices, graph theory, and linear programming, as well as statistics and probability. He highlighted that the course is designed to bridge the gap between secondary education and the requirements of higher education and the labor market.
