Jordan participated Monday in a virtual coordination meeting of the Mohammed Bin Zayed (MBZ) Award for Best Teacher in its 4th session.

The participants reviewed the action plan and accomplishments made for the fourth session, including preparations for teachers’ participation, marketing, presentation and evaluation.

Award Secretary General Hamad Al Darmaki said that the meeting tackled a host of issues ahead of the fourth session, which was launched on the sidelines of Dubai 2020 Expo last week.

The latest updates of the award included a number of aspects, top of which are the Human Fraternity Document which was launched in Abu Dhabi, digital safety and anti-cyberbullying, particularly due to the current health situation that brought up the urgent need for smart education in addition to behavioural and mental aspects, raising the tolerance criteria and supporting government initiatives.

Al Darmaki explained that the fourth session involved a major change, as it will be divided into two phases, where the first year includes five criteria based on excellence in achievement, creativity, innovation, development, sustainable education, positive citizenship and community and professional leadership.

The Award’s coordinator in Jordan Mohammed Sarhan urged teachers who are willing to compete to register via the link: bit.ly/MBZAWARD.
