Amman, Jordan Sunday participated in the 109th session of the the Supervisors on Palestinian Affairs in the Host Arab Countries Conference at the headquarters of the Arab League in Cairo.

Representing Jordan in the gathering, Director General of the Jordanian Department of Palestinian Affairs (DPA), Rafiq Kherfan, reaffirmed Jordan’s firm and clear position, based on the directives of His Majesty King Abdullah, which aims at reaching a just and comprehensive solution to the Palestinian cause on the basis of the two-state solution and the establishment of an independent Palestinian state on the pre-June 4, 1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital.

He added that the Jordanian government continues to improve the livelihoods and services provided to Palestinian refugees residing in the 13 refugee camps in the Kingdom.

Regarding the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA), Khirfan reaffirmed Jordan’s support towards the agency, as reflected in the Kingdom’s endeavour, in all international forums, to mobilise international funding to UNRWA.
