Amman: Jordan Post has released a new commemorative stamp issue for 2026 titled "Traditional Mosaics in the Mediterranean," as part of a joint Euro-Mediterranean initiative celebrating regional cultural heritage. The initiative aims to emphasize the artistic beauty of historic mosaics found across the kingdom, which reflect the ancient civilizations that flourished in the country.
According to Jordan News Agency, the company said in a statement on Monday that the release aims to showcase Jordan's cultural heritage and highlight the significance of these mosaics. The collection underscores the importance of preserving and promoting this heritage both locally and internationally.
The commemorative set has a total value of JD2.80 ($3.95). Additionally, a first-day issue envelope is available for JD3.50, alongside a luxury commemorative folder priced at JD20.
Collectors can purchase the new issue from the philatelic department at the Jordan Post headquarters in Amman's Al-Muqabalayn district.
