Amman: The Ministry of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship unveiled an official web version of the unified government services platform, Sanad, through its dedicated website, www.sanad.gov.jo, in partnership with the Optimiza company, which specializes in digital transformation solutions and services for institutions across the Middle East and North Africa.
According to Jordan News Agency, the web version enables citizens to access government services seamlessly through desktop computers, laptops, and tablets without being constrained by smartphone operating systems or storage capacity. The company said the web platform also reduces operational pressure on the mobile application's servers, helping ensure uninterrupted service during periods of peak demand. It added that the larger browser interface provides a more efficient workspace for businesses and institutions handling multiple or complex transactions, supporting an improved business environment and broader digital inclusion.
The launch comes as Sanad continues to record strong user growth, with the number of activated digital identities surpassing 2.8 million, including more than 800,000 new users added recently. Minister of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship Sami Smeirat said the web version marks another milestone in the development of the digital government system and reflects the ministry's commitment to delivering integrated government services through multiple digital channels to meet users' needs and improve access to public services.
Smeirat said the project also underscores the importance of partnering with Jordanian technology companies to develop national digital solutions that strengthen the digital economy, improve government services, and support the implementation of the Economic Modernization Vision. Optimiza Chief Executive Officer Majed Sifri said the development of the web version demonstrates the strength of public-private sector cooperation in Jordan. He said the project represents another step in advancing the Sanad platform as part of an integrated digital government system designed to save time and simplify access to government services for users inside and outside the Kingdom.
