Amman: Jordan Post Company announced plans to release a new set of commemorative stamps under the theme "Jordanian Sites Listed as World Heritage." The release is scheduled for Monday and aims to highlight Jordan's historical sites and promote cultural identity.
According to Jordan News Agency, the issue will include six stamps, each priced at 25 piastres, and a card valued at 50 piastres. Additionally, a "first day cover" with the stamps affixed will be available for 250 piastres, along with a 25 piastre postcard and a JD5 souvenir brochure containing stamps of Jordanian World Heritage sites.
The company emphasized that the release is intended to raise awareness of Jordan's heritage and encourage cultural tourism. It also seeks to stimulate conservation efforts and support cultural and development policies. The new stamps will be accessible at the company's Stamp Department headquarters and at various post offices, including those in Jabal Amman, Jabal Luweibdeh, Downtown, Abdali, Irbid, Madaba, Aqaba, Jerash, Petra, Karak, Ajloun, Salt, Fuheis, and the Jerash Visitors Center.
