Doha:The Telecommunications Regulatory Commission (TRC) of Jordan participated in the Arab Postal Regulation Forum 2026 held in Doha, Qatar.
According to Jordan News Agency, TRC Vice Chairman and Secretary-General Nael Adwan spoke on the opening panel titled "Consumer Protection, Service Quality and Postal Trust." During the session, Adwan discussed Jordan's efforts in modernizing its postal and parcel delivery sectors, emphasizing the shift from traditional oversight to a proactive regulatory model. This model includes clear licensing conditions, consumer protection, and parcel safety guarantees.
Adwan highlighted recent TRC regulations designed to address the rapid growth of e-commerce. These regulations provide oversight for delivery platforms and vehicle operations, ensuring free complaint resolution channels and strict service standards. To enhance regional cooperation, Adwan proposed a unified Arab framework for e-commerce delivery services.
The proposed guidelines aim to establish minimum standards for service quality, digital tracking, proof of delivery, and transparency across the Arab world. This initiative supports the forum's recommendations and is intended to deepen regional economic integration.
The Arab Postal Regulation Forum seeks to build consensus on modern postal governance, foster innovation, and promote sustainable digital trade across logistics markets. Discussions at the forum focused on economic regulation, postal security, and universal service.
