Amman: Minister of Social Development Wafa Bani Mustafa and Spanish Ambassador to Jordan Jose Luis Pardo Cuerdo discussed prospects for expanding cooperation on social programs during a meeting on Sunday. Bani Mustafa reviewed the government's efforts to strengthen Jordan's social protection system to deliver more comprehensive, higher-quality services that better respond to the needs of targeted groups.
According to Jordan News Agency, Bani Mustafa emphasized that bilateral cooperation has supported programs benefiting children, persons with disabilities, and the most vulnerable families. She stressed the importance of fortifying the partnership to develop social services, implement additional programs, and advance more sustainable community-based care models.
Bani Mustafa reaffirmed the significance of cooperation between Jordan and Spain in the social sector to support national priorities, improve social services, and explore new avenues for partnership in areas of mutual social and development interest.
For his part, Pardo Cuerdo highlighted the ministry's social programs and services, particularly in the field of social protection, and expressed hope for further strengthening cooperation and partnership in the future.
