KACE and JHA Join Forces to Enhance Jordanian Hospitality Sector

Amman: King Abdullah II Centre for Excellence (KACE) and the Jordan Hotels Association (JHA) have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) aimed at fostering innovation, competitiveness, and institutional excellence within Jordan's hospitality industry.

According to Jordan News Agency, the partnership between KACE and JHA will involve conducting hotel maturity assessments, along with organizing training programs and workshops focused on excellence standards. This collaboration is designed to encourage hospitality businesses to compete for the prestigious King Abdullah II Award for Excellence. Additionally, the MoU outlines plans for joint industry conferences and events to further bolster the sector.

The agreement was signed by Wedad Qteishat, KACE Executive Director, and Hussein Hilalat, JHA Chairman. During the signing ceremony, Qteishat emphasized the significance of spreading international best practices across key sectors, highlighting the pivotal role of a robust hospitality industry in driving Jordan's economy and enhancing its global tourism appeal.

Hilalat expressed confidence that the collaboration will enhance hotel performance, elevate service standards, and improve competitiveness through targeted assessments, training, and institutional development initiatives. Hani Dabbas, JHA Deputy Chairman, described the partnership as a strategic effort to embed excellence throughout the sector, noting that it will enhance operational performance, guest experiences, staff capabilities, and sustainability within hotels.

Dabbas further highlighted the importance of an agile and innovative hospitality sector in aligning with global tourism trends. He asserted that investing in excellence will directly enhance Jordan's tourism reputation, improve its global competitiveness, and support the objectives of its Economic Modernization Vision (EMV).
