Jordan, Tatarstan Discuss Prospects for Agricultural Collaboration

Amman: Minister of Agriculture Khaled Hneifat met with President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov on the sidelines of the KazanForum 2025, which commenced in Tatarstan with the involvement of 103 countries. The meeting focused on various issues of mutual interest, highlighting the strong relations between Jordan and Tatarstan, with both parties eager to enhance joint cooperation, as stated by the Ministry of Agriculture.

According to Jordan News Agency, Hneifat emphasized the significance of enhancing the exchange of agricultural products, noting that Jordan offers opportunities for investment in the sector. This is particularly relevant following the adoption of modern agricultural techniques and the production of high-quality crops. He advocated for strategic partnerships between the public and private sectors in both countries to facilitate the flow of goods and increase trade volume. Additionally, the Ministry is open to collaboration with Tatarstan in agricultural research, expertise exchange, and launching joint projects to improve food security and promote sustainable development.

Minnikhanov praised the current level of relations and committed to further strengthening the partnership with Jordan, especially in food security and modern agriculture. KazanForum 2025 serves as a significant international platform for dialogue and cooperation between Russia and Islamic countries in economic, investment, and cultural arenas, providing an opportunity to highlight available opportunities and strengthen regional and international partnerships.
