Amman: The Ministry of Water and Irrigation and the British Embassy in Amman hosted a joint webinar Tuesday highlighting opportunities for British companies in Jordan's water sector, building on momentum from the recent Jordan-UK Business Forum. Minister of Water and Irrigation Raed Abu Saud and British Ambassador to Jordan Philip Hall opened the session, which drew leading British firms with expertise in water infrastructure, engineering, digital technology, and water management, the ministry said in a statement.
According to Jordan News Agency, Abu Saud stressed the water sector's importance to Jordan's future and reaffirmed the government's commitment to strengthening water security through investment, innovation, and international partnerships. He invited British companies to explore opportunities and visit Jordan to identify potential areas of cooperation.
Hall welcomed the strong turnout from British companies and highlighted the United Kingdom's leading expertise in the water sector, expressing hope for new Jordanian-British partnerships in the field.
The webinar provided a platform for direct engagement between Jordanian officials and British companies, with participants reviewing future opportunities and reinforcing both countries' commitment to expanding trade, investment, and cooperation in the water sector.
