Amman: The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates announced its welcome of the United Kingdom, Canada, and Australia's decision to officially recognize the State of Palestine.

According to Jordan News Agency, the ministry stated that this decision aligns with international efforts to end the Israeli occupation and support the establishment of a Palestinian state based on a two-state solution.

Ministry Spokesperson Fuad Majali expressed Jordan's appreciation for the supportive positions of these countries. He noted that the recognition reflects support for international initiatives to establish a Palestinian state along the June 4, 1967 lines, with East Jerusalem as its capital, in line with international resolutions and the Arab Peace Initiative.

Majali reiterated Jordan's commitment to collaborating with international partners to uphold the rights of the Palestinian people. This includes working to end the occupation, establish an independent state, halt violations against Palestinians, and ensure accountability for those responsible.
