Jordanian and Egyptian Senate Leaders Address Regional Concerns

Amman: Senate President Faisal Fayez met with Hazem Omar, Chairperson of the Foreign Affairs Committee in the Egyptian Senate, to discuss the state of Jordanian-Egyptian relations and pressing regional issues.

According to Jordan News Agency, the meeting highlighted the necessity of enhanced cooperation between Jordan and Egypt across multiple sectors to benefit both nations. The leaders jointly condemned Israeli actions against Palestinians and called on the international community to enforce Israel's adherence to the Gaza ceasefire agreement. They urged for Israel's complete withdrawal from Gaza and to cease escalations in the West Bank.

The conversation also covered the ongoing situation in Syria, where both parties expressed their support for the unity and stability of Syria. They opposed Israeli aggression and emphasized the importance of Israel withdrawing from Syrian territories occupied after the collapse of Bashar al-Assad's regime.

Fayez and Omar reiterated the importance of stronger Arab collaboration to create a unified front against threats to regional security and sovereignty, aiming to empower the Arab nation to face any challenges to its stability.
