Gaza: The Jordanian Campaign, in collaboration with the Jordan Hashemite Charity Organization (JHCO), is maintaining its humanitarian mission in the Gaza Strip by running a central bakery in Khan Yunis. This initiative aims to furnish free bread to displaced families in one of the most densely populated regions in the southern parts of the strip.
According to Jordan News Agency, the bakery, which has been operational for over a month, produces bread daily using substantial amounts of flour. The bread is distributed at no cost to families affected and displaced, particularly in the Al-Mawasi area. This region’s residents were instructed by occupation forces to relocate during the recent escalation.
Activist Nour Najjar, a member of the Campaign team in Gaza, emphasized the team’s dedication to keeping the bakery running and broadening their relief efforts. Najjar also conveyed appreciation for the support from Jordan’s leadership, government, and citizens during these challenging times for the Palestinian people.
This initiative is part of a broader series of relief efforts by the Jordanian Campaign, initiated in response to the Israeli aggression on Gaza. It seeks to mitigate the harsh humanitarian conditions caused by closed crossings, inflation, and food shortages.
