Jordanian, Czech Business Meeting Explores Investment Opportunities in Energy Sector

Amman: The Amman Chamber of Commerce on Wednesday hosted Jordanian-Czech business meetings in cooperation with the Czech Embassy in Amman and the European Chamber of Commerce in Jordan (EuroCham), bringing together Czech energy companies and representatives of Jordanian firms to explore cooperation prospects.

According to Jordan News Agency, Amman Chamber of Commerce chairman Khalil ElHaj Tawfiq stated that Jordanian-Czech relations are a model of cooperation based on mutual respect and shared interests. He emphasized the importance of strengthening direct engagement between the business communities of both countries to expand economic and investment partnerships.

Tawfiq highlighted the chamber's priority in supporting international economic cooperation and establishing communication channels between Jordanian companies and their global counterparts. This initiative aims to promote investment, exchange expertise, and facilitate technology transfer.

He further mentioned that the private sector is a crucial partner in advancing economic relations, converting them into practical opportunities and projects. Tawfiq noted that Czech companies possess advanced expertise and technologies in energy, sustainability, and industrial development, offering promising prospects for partnerships that enhance economic growth and private sector competitiveness in both countries.

Czech Ambassador to Jordan, Andrea Kucerov¡, reaffirmed her country's commitment to expanding economic, trade, and investment ties with Jordan and deepening private-sector partnerships. She mentioned that the Czech delegation includes companies specializing in renewable and sustainable energy, smart automation, and energy management solutions, highlighting the potential for cooperation in these sectors.

Kucerov¡ emphasized that such meetings provide a practical framework for direct engagement between Jordanian and Czech companies, identifying joint investment opportunities, fostering partnerships, and supporting projects of mutual interest. She also stressed the importance of building on the strong relations between Jordan and the Czech Republic to boost trade and investment exchanges.

EuroCham Chairman Mohammad Smadi urged closer economic cooperation between Jordan and European countries. He noted that the chamber works to connect Jordanian companies with European counterparts and provide platforms that support partnerships, expertise-sharing, and technology transfer.

The event featured presentations by Czech companies operating in the energy and smart technology sectors, followed by business-to-business meetings between Jordanian and Czech participants.
