Jordanian Food Companies Set to Debut at IFE 2025 in London

Amman: Jordanian food companies are preparing to participate in the International Food and Drink Event (IFE) 2025 in London for the first time, marking a strategic move to boost the visibility of Jordanian food products in global markets. In a statement, the Chairman of the Jordan Exporters Association (JEA), Ahmed Khudari, emphasized that this debut aligns with the association's strategy to enhance Jordanian food exports and broaden their international footprint. According to Jordan News Agency, Khudari highlighted the significance of IFE 2025 as a platform for Jordanian companies to introduce their products to a global audience, with a focus on the British market. The event is anticipated to help in promoting Jordanian exports, especially considering the rising demand for international foods in Britain, including those from Arab countries. Khudari pointed out that the exhibition will serve as a crucial venue for showcasing a range of Jordanian products such as desserts, baked goods, spices, and nuts. He a lso noted the advantages of the British market, mentioning the presence of a substantial Arab community, which presents opportunities for expanding Jordanian business ventures and presence in the UK. Furthermore, Khudari mentioned that the exhibition will facilitate networking between Jordanian companies and international leaders in the food industry, thereby enhancing the reputation of Jordan's food sector. This initiative is seen as a step towards increasing exports and achieving a stronger global presence. Khudari reiterated that expanding Jordanian exports is key to addressing various economic challenges by opening new markets for local products, which in turn boosts production and industrial growth, and attracts new investments. This effort is expected to create more job opportunities for Jordanians and improve the country's foreign currency reserves and trade balance. Official data indicates that the trade volume between Jordan and the UK was approximately JD303 million last year, with JD62 million a ccounted for by Jordanian exports.
