The Jordanian Association for Boy Scouts and Girl Guides will participate in the 43rd World Scout Conference, taking place in Cairo, Egypt from August 17 to 23. In a statement issued Sunday, the association highlighted that the conference will draw over 2,000 delegates and representatives from international and United Nations bodies and 176 national scout organizations from around the globe. Discussions at the conference will center on key topics such as environmental sustainability and global peace, aligning with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. The event also celebrates the significant contributions of scouts worldwide. Held every three years, the World Scout Conference offers member associations a platform to influence the standards, policies, and objectives of the global scouting movement. It sets the overarching policies for the World Organization of the Scout Movement, elects members to the World Scout Committee, and makes decisions on admitting new associations and selecting host co untries for future World Scout events.
