Amman: Jordanian Yaman Al-Tal, a consultant urologist and sexual medicine specialist, has been awarded a fellowship by the Society of Urologic Prosthetic Surgeons (SUPS). This recognition makes him the only Arab doctor in the world to be selected for the society's inaugural founding class.
According to Jordan News Agency, the announcement was made during SUPS's summit held in Las Vegas. The inaugural membership is a rare distinction, granted to only 10 surgeons globally, highlighting exceptional surgical skill in specialized prosthetic urology, dedication to ongoing medical education, significant scientific contributions, and adherence to high professional standards.
During the summit, Al-Tal was the only Arab speaker, where he presented a paper focusing on the role of digital health awareness in enhancing patient access to modern treatment options. He emphasized that his selection as a member of the inaugural global group underscores the international competitiveness and leadership of Jordan's medical community.
