Amman: In an effort to empower young people and improve their digital skills so they can more easily enter the workforce, the Jordan River Foundation (JRF) and Al Hussein Technical University (HTU) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). The MoU was signed on behalf of JRF by its Director General, Enaam Barrishi, and on behalf of HTU by its President, Ismael Al-Hinti. This agreement creates a framework for collaboration in assisting with training initiatives, developing information technology and potential industry capabilities, and encouraging professional mentoring practices.
According to Jordan News Agency, the cooperation focuses on knowledge exchange to offer technical assistance in determining the necessary digital skills, identifying current skill shortages, and assessing labor market demands within the digital industry. The partnership will also involve creating and modifying digital training materials and curriculum to guarantee alignment with market demands. In addition, it aims to develop criteria for youth selection, assessment, and career guiding tools.
By establishing channels that give target populations access to training programs, career counseling, and entrepreneurial support, both organizations hope to assist young people and job seekers. With a focus on the information technology industry, these programs will connect beneficiaries with accessible career possibilities in the market, improve digital skills, and enhance technical and practical competence.
