The Jordan Tourism Board (JTB) participated in Riyadh Travel Fair held from May 22 to 24, which aims to promote investment, development, and sustainability of the travel and tourism sector in the Middle East and Saudi Arabia.

According to a JTB statement, Minister of Tourism Nayef Fayez stressed the importance of the fair, which is considered a prominent event visited by many tourism offices and airline companies.

He noted the importance of the Gulf countries’ markets due to them being the least affected by the political situation in the region.

Director-General of JTB Abdul Razzaq Arabiyat said the board is partaking through a Jordanian pavilion represented by three tourism and travel companies and hotels, as well as the Royal Jordanian Airlines.

He described Jordan as a destination fit to receive tourists from the Gulf countries due to its cultural acceptance, richness and diversity of the tourism product, mild weather throughout the year, and advanced medical services.

Through its participation, JTB seeks to promote tourism in the Kingdom and highlight its cultural and civilized heritage, he said, noting that the fair’s turnout was estimated at more than 30,000 visitors.

For his part, Jordan’s Ambassador to Saudi Arabia Ali Kayed expressed content about JTB’s participation, noting that Jordan’s pavilion is witnessing high numbers of visitors.
