JVA SG and German Envoy Evaluate 91 Pumping Station in Jordan Valley.

Jordan Valley: Jordan Valley Authority (JVA) Secretary General Hisham Hisa and Ambassador of Germany to Jordan, Bertram von Moltke were briefed on the work of the 91 pumping station in the Karama area in the Jordan Valley, funded by Germany's KfW Development Bank as part of the cooperation between Jordan and Germany. According to Jordan News Agency, the station administrators explained the modern pumping systems and the monitoring and control mechanisms that have been adopted to ensure maximum utilization of water resources, raise the efficiency of irrigation water, and minimize losses, especially for local farms. Hissa expressed appreciation for the German support, stressing that this project reflects one of the models of developing the irrigation sector in sustainable and innovative ways. For his part, the German envoy emphasized the importance of the Jordanian-German partnership in countering challenges of water scarcity, especially in light of climate change, indicating Germany's commitment to supporti ng sustainable development in Jordan. The visit aims to emphasize the importance of future cooperation and the development of joint projects that focus on education and training to raise the efficiency of workers in the water and agriculture sector, which enhances sustainability and contributes to achieving water and food security in Jordan.
